    I have been working at LifeScan as a contractor (more than an year)

    Pros

    Given the time to do your job properly
    No micro management
    Flexible with time off

    Cons

    Support management team to main boss not given any power to make decisions
    Absenteeism and tardiness is never addressed
    There is no feeling of being part of a team
    Customer Service dept is outsourced and completely segregated from the core Lifescan staff

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Make it a more fun and inclusive place to work
    Listen to what your employees have to say
    Ask for their opinions and input on product and service
    Enforce proper work place rules for people who treat the place as halfway house
