I worked at International Rectifier full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Very fast paced environment, good opportunity to learn and work in a high tech industry. Overall some really good people work at IR. But the negatives outweigh any positives.

    Cons

Poor benefits, not a lot of vacation time or holidays. Management doesn't value its employees. They care ONLY about pushing as hard as they can to make the numbers. Constant firefighting (almost nonstop, always an emergency, rush) especially at the end of quarter. Extremely poor planning, balancing of work load. Mandatory overtime for most. Don't expect very many raises after being hired.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Wake up! and appreciate your employees, your poor management skills are causing you to loose employees at a high rate.
