Unprofessional staff (large scale rumor/gossip, inappropriate language, sexual innuendos) , horrendous management (rarely in the diner, do not pay attention to inventory/money, consider employees to be expendable), bi-weekly cheques, however, managers are never in to give it to you, or make you wait hours while they drive to the business because they did not follow the agreed schedule appropriately. For one month they were paying me an ILLEGAL wage rate of $8.75/hour. They say the employee who writes the cheques thought I was one of the servers, but I do not believe that. My wage wasn't changed until a month and a half after bringing this issue to their attention, and had to remind the manager three times and inform my social worker.
I was employed to work once a week for a minimum of 5 hours. I worked there from December to May. In the last week of April and the first week of May, they gave my ONE DAY A WEEK POSITION away, without calling me, to a new employee, who was the son of another employee, who was still in school and was not living on his own, which I am. This is the level of terrible that the management is. They could not even professionally FIRE me.
Kitchen is FILTHY. Do NOT eat there. It is not clappable and you would not want to eat there either if you saw the kitchen.
Management was switched over in November, and many employees left due to the utter incompetence of the new management. The few who stayed are working miserably.Advice to ManagementAdvice
