    I worked at Headstrong as a contractor for more than a year


    Headstrong can be nimble and quick to make a move to bring someone in, which is what got me in the door. Access to people running the big projects, aspirations to do more and most importantly the willingness to stake out a position that isn't just what the client want to hear made for an appealing opportunity. As my first real role in a consulting firm, rather than on the ground employee, if provided some great perspectives on work and getting projects through.


    Two tiers of employees - the life long management consultants and the industry experts. Treating the experts so differently than the life long management consultant misses out on great opportunities to build both aspects of the staff and company. Leaving some to get on with the work, some to present ideas and not generating a lot of cross over sharing made for less of a team spirit in the project.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Don't give up having and sticking to a position to just keep an engagement. There is value in having opinions which go beyond just what the client wants to hear that ultimately bring bigger, longer term rewards.
