I have been working at Godiva Chocolatier full-time

    - discount 40% off regular price, not sales
    - good coworkers
    - gratis depending on the manager
    - usually cheerful and friendly customer

    - no work/life balance, you are expected to be able to come anytime
    - no time off, if you are sick you are expected to take medicine and "feel better" to come to work
    - DM/AM/RM don't care about the staff, all they care about is sales
    - no respect from any upper management - doesn't matter if you are the top performer, once you make a mistake they are all over it
    - archaic POS system, always crashes and freezes
    - no personal growth, a lot of positions are hired and not promoted within
    - do not value staff, high turn over
    - managers take credit for all the good
    - expect to work 7 - 9 days straight
    - ONLY the manager gets sunday off

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    - start paying your staff for what they are worth
    - spend some money on useful things like updating the POS, provide proper cleaning supplies (ie. glass cleaner, floor cleaner, and so forth), store maintenance
    - show some appreciation for staff aside from managers
    - most stores are in the negative for sales right now, open your eyes and smell the daisies, unhappy/disorganized staff = low sales

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
