    I worked at Cooper Industries

It's a prestigious company and will look good on your resume. Also, the benefits package is very good (by Quebec standards). Overall, the people who work for Cooper Power Systems are very friendly and a productive team to work with. Working in the marketing group, I really enjoyed to collaboration and the resources that were put at my disposition.

At the Quebec location, senior management is still from the pre-acquisition days. They tend to manage their location in a way that protects themselves as managers and not with the best interest of the company in mind. It seems to me that the Quebec group is in a transition period from old-style management to CPS' style of managing employees and careers, and this transition is difficult. Finally, being in a French-speaking province, I found it disappointing to see that Cooper Power Systems did not bother translating their employee evaluation system into French, especially when taking into account that some people at the Quebec location do not understand English.
