I have been working at Connolly full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Semi-Flexible work schedule, co workers are nice, the area is nice. Starting salary is pretty decent compared to other companies.

    Cons

Training on the business is horrible. You would be lucky if you have a competent person training you when you get hired. Even so, because there is no FORMAL training, if the person training you gives you incorrect information on how to do the job, then you end up getting the heat if you do it wrong. You do see a lot of employees chat their day away while the other members of their team work. You need a certain type of work ethic and a least some knowledge of the business in order to survive your first six months. I've seen so many people come and go it actually made me a bit nervous. You must also be handle pressure.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I honestly feel there should be formal training within the teams on projects, how to effectively work their way around the systems, extra resources etc. so that everyone is on the same page. I see a lot of employees talking about leaving and complaining to one another about the way the company is running. You should consider compensating your workers for job-related designations/certifications too. That will benefit both the employee and the company (as far as I know, this is not reimbursable...) And maybe teach HR a thing or two about benefits.
