I have been working at Cisco Systems full-time for more than 10 years

Great people. Knowledgeable, motivated, capable. Have always enjoyed working with the team. I stay only because the people are great t work with.

Internal politics. Annual layoffs. Executive incompetence. No real opportunities for technical advancement. Toronto is a back-water and most useful training takes place in San Jose. Some low level line managers are excellent but leadership, foresight, business acumen has evaded higher levels.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Too much cronyism and apparent incompetence in mid and high level executive positions. Management needs a good purge.
