I worked at AlliedBarton part-time (more than 5 years)Pros
Plenty of job opportunities and plenty of job sites that need security officers. Easy to get a security job.
Can be a nice quiet job for college students working night shifts.
$2 above minimum wage...Cons
Difficult to make a career out of it.
Pay is usually very low and starts in some places at 10/hr.
So much responsibility for life and safety of all people and buildings under our care.
Stressful at times.
In the five years i worked with them there was no possibility for promotion whatsoever. The contract site i was working at got rid of any performance bonuses or attendance bonuses. Raises were generally around 25-50 cents a year.

Allied Barton Edge does nothing for the security officers who dont take it seriously. Training should be more one on one with managers and supervisors than relying on an online quiz platform.
Pay your employees more. These people are on call 24/7, responsible for the lives and properties of your clients and they cannot get by on 10 dollars an hour. The only people who have made a career out of security are managers and supervisors who can at least afford to get by.
In my five years at my site I saw such a high turn over rate,Doesn't RecommendNeutral Outlook
