Interview Details
I was originally contacted in November to do a phone interview. This was the typical HR screening type call where they want you to walk them through your resume and ask you some basic behavioral questions. Very simple. Then I was invited to an in-person interview in Scottsdale, Arizona. Had to interview with 3 different individuals (HR, previous LDP's, and current manager). This was pretty straightforward as well but I was extremely disappointed with the follow up, or lack therefore.
I waited about 3 weeks after the interviews before reaching out to the HR contact regarding my candidacy. I emailed her and left several voicemails but she never returned my calls. Eventually I even tried contacting her admin and another individual I interviewed with to flag her down and was told she would relay my messages. After another week or so I finally heard back from the aforementioned HR contact and was told they would be moving forward with other candidates. This was terribly unprofessional and tarnished my whole experience interviewing with this company. I would not give Vanguard much consideration as a potential employer.
Interview Question – They had us do a role play exercise with a current employee, regarding how we would deal with a difficult subordinate as a manager. We had about 10 minutes to read a mini case that prefaced the background information and then had to deliver how we would handle the situation. Answer Question

Interview Details It first started off with a campus interview, then I was invited to their office for an interview with other candidates. The interview consisted of a case study, and then a formal interview. At the end, the candidates were given a tour of the location. Based on my inital impression of the place, it seems current employees do not enjoy working there.
Interview Question – Questions concerning ETF's and investments Answer Question
Reason for Declining – Overall, I did not like the company culture. It seemed people did not enjoy working there.

Interview included overview of company, positions and 2 one-hour interviews. STAR format behavioral interview. Straight forward questions about accomplishments and how you handle bad situations. HR was very friendly and helping. NC location is mostly a call center though

Accepted Offer – Interviewed on Scottsdale, AZ (US) Apr 2013 – Reviewed Apr 22, 2013
Interview Details After an initial phone interview, I was asked in to the office for a 4 hour interview that included a briefing on the company and benefits. There was a 1 hour interview answering questions based off of a case study and reading a paragraph where you role played a phone conversation with a client. There is also a 1 hour traditional behavioral interview with a different person. Everyone that I came in contact with was professional and positive.
Interview Question – I thought the most difficult part of the interview was the role play, because it made you think on your feet. Answer Question
Negotiation Details – I did ask if the salary was negotiable and was then explained the "total rewards" theory. In the end I accepted the offered salary.
