Reason for Declining – Found better job offer elsewhere

Interview Details Started out with a skills test. The test was pretty basic. it consisted of listening & data entry,as well as, keyboarding (typing test). A few days later I received a phone call. They asked a few basic questions and gave the results of my skills test. They then arranged for me to go for 1:1 interview.

The Interview itself asked all your standard question re: dealing with customers, leadership, and problem solving. Overall, it was not to intimidating. You also have to consent to a background/criminal record check.

Interview Details I apply the position on line ,then get first telephone interview for around 15 mintues and then I got second interview by HR manager ,the interview took around 1.5 hr that day ,and they first do the background check ,ask me intruduce the previous job that i did and job description .after i finished that they ask me why i want apply this position and then ask me service question base on servreral part ,professional part , personality part .finanlly ,they ask me give the referance and then let me go

Negotiation Details – if the job has target to meet ,i always say i have self confident that i am the grate one ,but i also know that there have many difficults when you doing you job ,so i will try my best ,and i will better than other candidate

Interview Details very causal interview

ask about my previous job performance. I just basically told him the truth.(which is not too good)

my salary is kinda low but my boss is very good in terms of sales.

So i accept his offer.

There are only four people in our office. Usually very quiet in the morning.

My boss concentrate on life insurance rather than auto and home.

He always told to provide financial service/planning rather than just being a order taker.

Interview Details Applied online on 4/1. I got a call either the next day or the day after that requesting that I sign an applicant disclosure agreement. The day after that I got a automated phone call and an email inviting me to take a preemployment test. Like any employment test, I would not worry about passing. The day after completing the assessments, I got an email saying my scores were competitive.

On 4/24 I got an email congratulating me that I was selected for an interview that included a preset date and time. Luckily, I was already available for that day. The email also listed the job duties and the salary. Below average, about 5,000 below a competing national insurance company for the SAME exact position.

5/14 I interviewed in the BUSY operations center in Dunwoody. It's a nice building, brand new, with tons of employees and tons of interviewees. I grew a lot more confident in myself when I saw how the other interviewees were dressed. Wear a suit, please, I realized then that many people don't know to do that. You'll probably stand out, in a good way, like I did.

Anyways the interview was with the Underwriting Team. The team consisted of two underwriting managers, one from TN, one from TX, who had flown in just to interview for the position. I felt relatively comfortable (as comfortable as you can get in a behavioral interview).

I felt confident leaving the interview. One of the managers told me this was the first day of interviews (it was a Tuesday) and they'd be interviewing through Friday (for 18 positions I believe). He said they hoped to have decisions made by the following week, but to give them until the week after that to make a decision. I grew anxious, as an earlier email told me it would take 2-5 days after the interview for a job offer or deniel. On 5/28, as promised by an email, I was received a contingent job offer.

The pay is under average, but I accepted because of the location and because State Farm seems like a great place to work. I am a recent college graduate, with 2 years part-time customer service experience, moving from another state. I'm thankful that they considered me. Overall, the recruiting process is pretty superb. They lay everything out initially and leave little to wonder about, compared to other employers.

Negotiation Details – I didn't try to negotiate the offer as it seemed to be non-negotiable, though I wish they had offered at least 3,000 more to keep up with industry competitors.

Interview Details Very standard, phone interview with typically questions - describe yourself, how did you handle a situation that involved conflicting team members, how did you overcome an obstacle, etc. It was my first interview ever, and I was extremely nervous but somehow impressed the interview enough to get the job offer.

Interview Details I was hired after two phone interviews. I never had a live interview. The hiring process was very smooth and organized.

Negotiation Details – There was no negotiation phase. It was a take it or leave it offer.

Interview Details Applied online. Contacted to take a typing test and a simulated call test. Got a call to schedule a phone interview. Phone interview consisted of "tell me about yourself", "why do you want to work for State Farm", "Tell me of a time when you had to learn a new skill".

Interview Details I applied online (3/13/13), and was invited to do the online assessment (3/14/13). After that, I got an email to schedule phone interview. Phone (3/18/13) was okay, and was told I would hear back within three weeks (beginning of April). I didn't hear anything for six weeks, until when I applied for another position (Claims Representative Fire) with them. Then I got an email saying I was not selected (4/30/13). I was told salary was around 40,000.
