Accepted Offer – Interviewed in Tulsa, OK (US) – Reviewed Jan 09, 2013

Interview Details It was definitely a process!! There were a few steps and a final interview with the chief sales officer. I really enjoyed the chance to go out in the field with an experienced rep and see what it was all about. I think that is when I realized that this is where I want to be!

No Offer – Interviewed in Dec 2012 – Reviewed Dec 18, 2012

Interview Details All in all, I felt the interview process was more than fair. Are there multiple steps? Yes. But sometimes things worth getting have to be worked for. I say this even though I unfortuantely did not receive an offer from this company. The employee that answered the door seemed happy to be there and so did the other people working. I was early and the manager came out right when she knew I was there; it was a conversational interview and it seemed like she was genuinely interested in what I was saying. I was passed on to a webcam interview as a second step but my process stopped after that. I still think this is a great opportunity for anyone looking to have a sales career - plenty of room to grow, high energy in the office etc.

Outside Sales at Paycom Payroll

No Offer – Interviewed in Charlotte, NC (US) Mar 2012 – Reviewed Dec 06, 2012

Interview Details Contacted by a recruiter by phone and after a 20 minute conversation was asked to schedule a 1:1 interview with regional sales manager. The interview was a standard behavioral interview. During the interview, the interviewer acknowledged that they had been searching for a candidate for the position for several months and no one had "fit the bill" that they were looking for. I received no response after the interview even after attempts to follow up for several weeks. A few months later, I was called by another recruiter interested in scheduling me for an interview for the same position.

Interview Question – Nothing outside of an ordinary behavioral interview.   Answer Question

Declined Offer – Interviewed in Tampa, FL (US) Oct 2012 – Reviewed Nov 08, 2012

Interview Details If you feel like the base salary is too good to be true… that’s because it is. I went to this interview, seemed like a shell of an office with not many people at all, just a big empty space. It was dull and depressing... You only need a 2.5gpa to get this job… if your desperate go for it.

Interview Details Spoke with paycom at a job fair. They were very nice and I scheduled an interview with them. They canceled my interview the day of. That was a pain because I had to drive 2 hours to get to their office. I did not reschedule another interview because reviews about this company were pretty bad

Outside Sales Consultant at Paycom Payroll

No Offer – Interviewed in Miami, FL (US) – Reviewed Oct 23, 2012

Interview Details phone interview, then a face to face interview with the sales manager, then a face to face with a regional manager, then a 4 hour session of phone canvassing (cold calling), then possibly a ride along with a current sales rep, then a final interview with a head hauncho. Honestly, I may have missed a step...its a grueling process!

Interview Question – Just your typical interview questions about past sales experiences and a "tell me how you handled a challenging situation in your sales career" etc. Honestly, I was not a fan of this company. They miss communicated my interview date and time (frustrating) then, they wanted me to come back in for another phone canvassing session after I had already proven I could do it. Lastly, the sales manager was a huge B. You could definitely tell she was on her high horse and was not coming down. Obviously not all their managers are like this, but this one def was!   Answer Question

Sales Representative at Paycom Payroll

No Offer – Reviewed Oct 14, 2012

Interview Details I first started interviewing in the Dallas office. The manager there was great but I found out that the Bedford office was closer so I talked to the recruiter I was dealing with and he got me an interview at the Fort Worth office without any issues. The manager at the FW office was great-they were professional and very respectful of my current job. The next step after the initial interview was a phone canvas session where you need to book three appointments. I did not have any issues with this as I have experience with outbound calls. Next was my video interview with the regional manager- Paycom was once again very sensitive to my schedule making arrangements to interview me at 6PM my time, (7PM where the regional manager was). After the video chat was a ridealong which seemed to me to be strictly an opportunity for the candidate to see if the company was a good fit for them. The sales rep I shadowed did very well and had excellent delivery.

Unfortunately at this point I decided to pursue a job in a different region of the country so the interview process stopped here for me. I would recommend looking into Paycom for anybody looking to excel in their sales career. I could not be any more impressed with the three managers I dealt with.

Interview Details I got a phone call from the recruiter after I applied online and asked me a few questions then set up a meeting with the Sales Manager. He was uninviting and unprofessional from the start. He had a stack of resumes so it seemed like he was interviewing many people. His negative attitude of not wanting to be there in the interview and his pride was the biggest turn off. I felt like I was being attacked as opposed to trying to find out about the my qualifications. The position has been open for a very long time and is still open after I interviewed a while ago and with those stacks of resumes I can't imagine them all being unqualified, his negative mindset of not finding the right person to fill the position will produce that result, and he should know that in sales. I left upset and unheard and insulted.

Interview Question – How many interviews have you gone on? How many of them did you get a second interview? which companies?   Answer Question
