No Offer – Interviewed in Ottawa, ON Jan 2012 – Reviewed Mar 15, 2012
Interview Details The phone interview was arranged via email. We spoke for about 25 minutes. It was a bilingual position. My spoken French is at the intermediate level (written not so good) and so the discussion was in both languages. I was asked customer service situational questions, about myself, my references to the job, etc. Emphasis is on customer service skills and being fully bilingual!

Accepted Offer – Interviewed in Jersey City, NJ (US) Jul 2010 – Reviewed May 24, 2013 New
Interview Details Went for a full day of interviews - met with approx. 6 people, including the group head/MD. It was a long day, but the interviews were not particularly difficult. It took several weeks to get the offer. I was referred by another employee, and once I started, I was asked by several people "who I knew" - because the general hiring process at the time for that group was to hire temps.
Interview Question – The questions were not difficult. Answer Question
Negotiation Details – I did not negotiate - I probably should have.

Interview Details My overseas VC interview was brought forward to a phone interview on labour day holiday. I ended up having to call the interviewer and JP Morgan refused to reimburse me for the international call.
Interview Question – The interviewer approached the interview with her mind already made up and was rude, overbearing and negative. Worse, I had to call her for the interview and the firm didn't reimburse me for the expense. The firm still haven't got back to me with feedback and it's coming up to three weeks since the interview. I've stopped bothering to chase. I find them unprofessional. Total waste of my time. Answer Question

Declined Offer – Interviewed in Columbus, OH (US) – Reviewed May 21, 2013 New
Interview Details
Recruiter contacted me via LinkedIn. Back and forth was okay. Call was setup with hiring manager from team. I travelled to Columbus OH. The admin was not accommodative and very disorganized to the point of needing to correct her double bookings.
The interviews were fine. Half the people were friendly and the others were very insecure in an abrasive manner. Everyone is literally in love with 'Jamie'. I left very underwhelmed with Columbus, the office, the people, and long term prospects.
Interview Question – Nothing of direct note. There was one consumer banking question that I was unfamiliar with the business terms as I come from corporate banking. Answer Question
