Interview Details
Interview set up by HR, very professional and thorough in detail. The job description and the actual position were different, which caught me off guard but rolled with it. The interview was with two employees in the department. The employees were nice and friendly but really did not have the knowledge or skills to interview for this position. The employees were senior technical reps and really did not fully understand the role that knowledge management has in a organization and the skills it takes. Questions were behavioral but again not really directed to the position.
Dell really should have had someone with some knowledge of the roll doing the initial interviewing. I was not offered the position and I had to contact Dell to find that out. No communication was sent to me letting me know until I contacted them.
Interview Question – Really none - but the two employees stated upfront - "we really don't know much about knowledge management" Answer Question

Interview Details
I applied for several similar positions at Dell through LinkedIn. After realizing that there had to be a more efficient way, I got the name of a recruiter who passed along my resume. I was contacted by a recruiter within about two weeks who wanted to set up an interview within the next three days, which happened to be a Friday. That time/date didn't work with my schedule, so we set up a time for the following Monday. I got a call from the recruiter ten days later with a job offer.
I interviewed with two Inside Sales Account Managers. The interview very conversational with a few standard interview questions (brief review of my resume, Why Dell? Why you?) thrown in. I was over prepared for this interview and the interviewers noted appreciation for that.
Interview Question – There wasn't anything unexpected. Answer Question
Negotiation Details – There was no negotiation. I had the figures for the salary and bonus before I accepted the interview.
