Interview Details For the initial interview, the questions were typical and hiring manager used a question template for many questions. Was not informed that HR rep would be present during interview. This was not an issue but the candidate should have been informed.

Second interview was with more senior management. The interview was in the hiring manager's office with the hiring manager present and one of the senior leaders on the telephone. The interview should have been in a conference room with proper microphone setup to allow for better communication. Also, the interview should have been without the hiring manager since questions were redundant.

Interview Details The interview started with an initial fielding call from the recruiter. I was asked some basic questions about my resume. There was specific questioning regarding sales achievements and team motivation. I was advised that I would need to complete a leadership assessment test that would take about an hour. If I was successful I would be considered for next steps. Once in the interview process, all questions to the panel were behavior based: Situation/Task/Action/Result.

Interview Question – Can you give a time when you had to incentive your team to reach monthly revenue goals? What was method? How did you measure your success?   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – The initial offer was quite low. I was able to negotiate about 7% above the initial offer.

Interview Details I applied online and kept at it (checked on updated positions, etc) over the course of about a month. The HR rep called and said I performed very well on both the sales and managerial assessments, that they were interested in speaking with me further. She said she would also need to do a phone interview, asked if I had time to do it now so I did. After she said she recommended me to do the panel interview and asked if I could come in the next day. I already had a full day ahead of me, so I apologized that I wouldn't be able to do it the next day. Panel interview was then scheduled for the day after. It is worth to note that after this process, I heard that Cox routinely does this... they expect you to find them worthy enough to make it all happen on your end as soon as they are interested... including start date. They may not be interested in leaving you with enough time to fulfill a 2 week notice with your existing job and will want you to start within days of offering. Anyway, 3-panel interview where I sat at the end of a long table with the guys on the other end. They were friendly and took turns answering questions and writing down my responses. Afterward, they asked me to go back into the hall so they could talk for a minute. 10 minutes later they called me back in and offered me a PT position... they expected an immediate response. I accepted. I was then given paperwork for background check approval and drug test... was told I needed to submit the drug test within 24 hours.

Interview Question – I have been in wireless sales for many years, so I am accustomed to similar interview questions. However, the one that sticks out in my head was to explain a time where I had an angry customer, how I handled the situation and what the outcome was. This is not so out of the norm, but I had gone through so many questions with them that were similar that I was trying to search my brain for a new situation that had a good outcome. Interview lasted nearly an hour, so we went through many sales and service scenarios.   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – I was offered a PT sales position even though I was originally called in for a possible Assistant Manager position in a retail store. At the time, I was unemployed so I believe I made the mistake of offering up during the interview that I would be willing to consider PT just to get my foot in the door. Salary was not negotiable.

Interview Details Applied online, went to pre interview screening and they did a small mathematical test and quized for technical knowledge, both were extremely simple.
The actual interview was standard. make sure youy practice all the standard type questions and be relaxed and friendly. Dress appropriatly. Also, I got an interview right away, but that is not the case for a lot of people, you may have to try several times, but don't give up!

Interview Question – They asked for example story of overcoming a difficult situation.   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – They made an offer and I accepted it. There's not a lot of wiggle room.

Interview Details First step is online application submission. Second is screening phone interview with HR. If passed then an interview is set up with potential hiring manager and a team of one to four others. Questions are chosen by interviewers from packaged sets. Each interviewer will ask a question while others note your responses. Questioning and note-taking rotate among participants. Following all applicant interviews the interview team will rate each candidate on numerical scale to recommend team choice to hiring manager (who was also on panel). Hiring manager has ultimate choice. HR will contact first choice applicant to negotiate an offer.

Interview Question – No surprises or awkward questions--all very typical. They follow a pattern of "Tell us about a time you..."" managed a difficult project, dealt with a dissatisfied customer, or need to develop a different approach to a complex situation...."   View Answer

Interview Details HR is a mess. Mostly filled with contractors. Can take a while for them to respond. So following up is a must.
The interviews are nothing special. No challenge with the right experience. Beware though - they have some very smart and experienced people there pretending like they don't know very much.
