    Program Manager CSC Interview

I have always had positive interview experiences for student positions at Boston University. The CSC office is no different. The Director and Asst. Director as well as students in the interview make you feel welcome and like you are worth their time. This immediately put me at ease and allowed me to focus on crafting my responses instead of my nerves. Further, they find places to relate to you.

    Interview Questions
    • They always try to put people at ease by asking them something like what song describes you or who would play you in a movie. This isn't something I generally think about so I just said the first thing that popped into my head, which probably didn't make any sense.   Answer Question

I applied online. The process took 3+ monthsinterviewed at Boston University in April 2014.

    Interview Details

I had two interviews total for this position. I met with several very nice people from the office, which demonstrated to me how nice of an environment the office seemed. The only drawback to this process is how slow they are to get back to you, which is fairly common in higher ed, at least (not sure about other industries). Still waiting to hear back...

Just met with PI to go through resume. Just reviewed the positions and job requirements. Overall, this was not a stressful process. I recommend this job to all students at BU. Be ready to discuss details on resume and previous experience. Also, will have to work on assigned projects. Many students work in the lab which is a benefit for younger students looking for mentors.
