Retail Sales Representative at Bimbo Bakeries

No Offer – Interviewed in Columbus, OH (US) – Reviewed Feb 23, 2013

Interview Details I have completed three online applications for different positions all W-2 jobs in product distribution. I am a very qualified candidate with over twenty years in the business. This company accepts online apps only, I have yet to receive any communication one way or the other on my application status. Logging into my account has shown a status of considering for the position. Still no communication until finally the job, upon inquiry, shows no longer available. I find this to be very unprofessional especially in this age of instant messageing

Territory Sales Manager at Bimbo Bakeries

Accepted Offer – Interviewed in Sep 2009 – Reviewed Jan 09, 2013

Interview Details Application and Resume were submitted. The Interview was a 20 minute phone call. The only thing discussed was how messed up the impending location was and how they will be so happy if I can get it turned around. Probably the most informal interview I have ever attended.

Interview Question – How soon could you turn things around?   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – I tried to ask for more money but the answer was NO. I then tried to ask for more vacation time than two weeks (I was bringing 18 years of experience to the future employer) and they said NO to that as well.

Maintenance at Bimbo Bakeries

Accepted Offer – Interviewed in Elkhart, IN (US) Aug 2012 – Reviewed Dec 08, 2012

Interview Details Applied online, was sent a link to complete a weird word association survey. After that was passed, had to take an 8 hour long KEYS test. After that, had to take a mechanical knowledge test. After that had 3 rounds of back to back interviews with HR, plant manager, maintenance engineer, process engineer, resource leader.

Typical questions asked for standard interviews and and field specific interview. Testing was intense, but fun. Really helped to weed out the people that could not hack it.

Interview Question – Can you handle 12 hour plus days?   View Answer

Negotiation Details – Very fair based on testing results.

Financial Management Program at Bimbo Bakeries

No Offer – Interviewed in Horsham, PA (US) Oct 2011 – Reviewed Jun 08, 2012

Interview Details I was invited to interview with the company after applying through my university's career website. The first round consisted of two 30-minute back-to-back interviews, first one with an HR lady, second 2:1 with the company's CFO and another person from HR. Both interviews were mainly behavioral with maybe one or two easy questions related to finance.

In-house Counsel at Bimbo Bakeries

No Offer – Interviewed in Feb 2011 – Reviewed Oct 02, 2011

Interview Details Called in twice to meet with Department. Then, while waiting for offer, was called and ask (again) about my salary requirements. Was advised that I was "taking a haircut" on the money. Was then told I would be notified regardless as to whether I got the job. Two weeks later, I e-mail them about the status of the position. I then get an awkward and unprofessional call from their HR Department telling me "No".
