    Pros

    Great company perks - Employee Dining Room (EDR), athletic sponsorship, benefit package & tuition reimbursement. The company offers great leadership programs and advocates for internal promotions/growth. Employee programs to recognize and disseminate information is outstanding!

    Cons

    PTO program could be better.

    Always make sure you are promoting the correct person to the higher position. Make sure they are educated enough to represent themselves and the company in the manner necessary.

    I have been working at Wynn Resorts

    Pros

    I was part of the opening team back in 2005. From day one, Steve has made this place about the employees. There have been many changes, some great, some not so great. When something doesnt fit, he has no problem listening to his staff and fixing it right.

    Cons

    Some people are in positions of authority who have no concept of what an effective leader is. Not all, infact, the majority of the leaders are amazing, but just a few bad apples....

    Listen to your team. You can make all the changes you want, but none will be successful without the support of your staff.

    I have been working at Wynn Resorts full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    -If you're "Steady Extra" or "On Call" you tend to get at least 32 hours a week (give or take 50 days). Not guaranteed obviously.
    -Great people, everyone is kind and amiable.
    -Great healthy menu at the EDR
    -Great tipping environment to work in, whether it's restaurants, front services etc. etc.

    Cons

    -Highest money making resort on the strip, but has the lowest salaries. About 30-40 cents less than MGM, Caesars, Sands etc. etc. etc.
    -No paid sick days
    -No "flex" days
    -Very sensitive department managers (depends which: eg Security)
    -The Housekeeping departments are the most corrupted departments in the hotel. High despotism, discrimination and they will jump seniority if need be.
    -In tipping environments Managers get a cut of tips.

    Just be fair, listen to your employees concerns.

    Small enough to make a difference.

    Very conservative in its views.

    Make sure compensation is equivalent or more than the current national averages. This is a five-star resort and to hire and keep the best of the best would and should require competitive salaries.

    Pros

    The Company always focused on the staff. They were fully aware that without a great team, there was no Company so they made extra effort to see to the needs of it's employees.

    Cons

    It was very hard work but when you work under an umbrella of excellence, it is what it is. Expectations are high.

    Continue to listen to your staff for they are a great resource in aiding the continued growth of the hotel.
