    Pros

It is a company in fortune 500. Good to for new graduate gain experience in the first step, then step up in a better company.

    Cons

Unilever Canada keeps shrinking due to main market is in US. Unilever Canada will eventually change to a distribution chain of Unilever products.

    I worked at Unilever

    Pros

Great brands, location and people. Lots of local activations that you get to influence

    Cons

Work is very tactical. All strategies come out of Global so all you are left to do is execute for your local market.

    Pros

Good experience in overall. Working with Unilever Rexdale allowed great global corp. exposure from the line to HQ.

    Cons

Team work is hardly seen in anywhere. The most people are obsessed with individual interests and goals over the team.

    Advice to Management

Promote team work environment, and provide consistent and positive support to the team.

    Pros

One of the largest consumer good companies in the world and it looks good on the resume. Moreover, working for a multinational company counts as an international experience and opens doors for working for different companies across the globe.

    Cons

The location is far from the city and so long commuting time. Moreover, working for t a manufacturing facility can be boring.

  7. Good name brand for your resume, long hours but good pay.

    Pros

Good and fun culture. Very competitive. Good pay. Good social life outside of work and a great name for your resume.

    Cons

Very bureaucratic in nature. Often stuck doing boring but necessary work. Not as much strategy work as I would have liked.

    Pros

Excellent employee-run ordering service, allowing employees to purchase Unilever products extremely cheap. Compensation was more than adequate for the duties required.

    Cons

The factory atmosphere was gray and boring. The company has a real disconnect between the floor level employees, supervisors, and upper management.

    Advice to Management

The upper management should spend some more time at floor level with employees, and ask for some of their feedback as to how things could be run more efficiently.

  9. Good overall experience

There is too much process within the company. It takes too long to obtain results.

    Advice to Management

    Streamline processes.

    Pros

pretty good salary and bonuses compared to other organizations, great cultiure and work life balance, great technology and internal communications

    Cons

political, senior management tends to get posted overseas within a year, high management turnover, lots of outsourcing especially in IT, finance and HR

    Advice to Management

hmmmm...this is hard to comment. in a global organization there are so many potential areas for miscommunication. honestly i'd say that the global leadership should travel more and get out of the UK to see how the countries are really run and performing
