    Pros

Quality values expressed and encouraged, through OneExchange from Towers Watson, towards the medicare eligible customers is at the pinnacle of customer service and support. At first, aimed towards client relief and customer satisfaction, this organization began achieving much more than originally expected. Educating customers, clients, and even employees with interpersonal sensitivity, business management, and Insurance skills that is much needed in todays society.

    Cons

Employee acquisition through seasonal "trial period."

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Employee quality/quantity needs projection measuring.

I have been working at Towers Watson full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Great people. My team are brilliant to work with and there are some very inspiring associates throughout all regions and areas of the business. As part of HR you get to participate in initiatives such as the 'connectivity committee' which is an associate listening programme where you get to input ideas and give feedback.

    Cons

It is a big company so you have to find your niche I suppose.

I have been working at Towers Watson full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    - Exposure to all different types of clients, industries, and work
    - Will not pigeon hole you into one field; have opportunities to do work in different lines of business
    - Great upper management, i.e., they care about your career progression, your work/life balance, etc.
    - Firm's brand and reputation in the HR consulting space
    - You learn something different from each different consultant and colleague you work with
    - Working on multiple projects at once - subjective opinion but keeps work interesting
    - Flexibility in schedule

    Cons

    - Cash compensation is fair, though should be better with the level of stress and responsibilities given. However, total rewards (comp + benefits + retirement) is great
    - Work / life balance can suffer at times. Often on-call around the clock. Though the trade off is the vast amount experience you get

I have been working at Towers Watson full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Good support and exceptional business model. Winning new clients in the marketplace and providing good service and true value to clients. Great flexible work environment, good offices, strong benefits and good pay.

    Cons

Political infighting between lines of business and account directors. Good consultants are loaded up quickly and hiring occurs after new work is won, which means someone has to do more work than intended until hiring catches up.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire in anticipation of growth despite the short term hit to productivity.

Current Employee - Director in London, England (UK)

I have been working at Towers Watson full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Leading edge intellectual capital in the industry
Smart colleagues who work collaboratively to help
    Flexible work/life policies
Ease of work experiences in other countries

    Cons

Since the Towers Perrin and Watson Wyatt merger in 2010, there is more internal bureaucracy to deal with, and Lines of Business think more in silos nowadays.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Find a way to more easily bring our best people and best work to our clients, regardless of who "owns" the work or client relationship.
