I worked at Siemens AG
Pros – A very innovative company with a great brand and many very bright people. An excellent learning environment that is global in nature. If you want to get a truely global experience this is the place. You also will get in depth knowlege of sectors including Industry, Energy or Medical. The products are truely world leading. The opportunity for someone early in their career to be trained and groomed are exceptional.
Cons – Matrix structure causes it to be slow moving and its never clear who is leading the charge.
Often people spend more time reporting internally the same information over and over in different formats to the various stakeholders. It is inefficient and at the end of the day, the leadership is lacking.
Advice to Senior Management – Embrace and live the new vertically focused structure. Give full power to the sector leads.

I worked at Siemens AG full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Great support from the systems. Everything in place. Exceptionally good employee benefits.
Cons – Rigid and do not promote much "thinking out of the box". Minimal chance of exploring other posts within the company and do not allow internal transfer to overseas job opportunities.
Advice to Senior Management – Provide career advancement plan for the employees instead of just trying to keep everyone happy in their position forever.

I have been working at Siemens AG full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Excellent benefits - full medical/dental/vision, huge 401k match, stock plan
Great work environment - laid back and friendly coworkers
Variety of projects
Overtime pay
Discounts on variety of products, travel, etc.
Cons – Huge company = bureaucracy and annoying mandatory training
Career advancement means moving deeper into middle management
Salary isn't fantastic, but the perks make up for it
Advice to Senior Management – Keep it up

I worked at Siemens AG full-time for more than a year
Pros – Excellent working environment within the team; development team is well guarded from outside interference by the company's inherent hierarchical structure; excellent pay raises in the first few years your starting your career (40%, 20%, ...); workgroup was very open to new ideas even from someone fresh out of university; a great place to start your career; excellent work/life balance;
Cons – Working environment gets very formal very fast as soon as you start contacting outside your own team; low starting salaries compared to the rest of the IT industry (which is inevitable given the large pay raises you get in the first years); performance appraisal and evaluations is tampered with by the financial staff, since evaluation is directly tied to bonuses; IT is a extremely small share of the company's business, so don't expect "change-the-world" projects;
Advice to Senior Management – The very formal environment may be appropriate for some of Siemens' other industries but for IT it seems very out of place compared to IT-exclusive companies; have a better starting salary and cut on first/second year raises, nobody wants to be paid minimum wage for 6 months so that they can be raised to a value below industry standards anyway

I have been working at Siemens AG
Pros – Small specialised group in Berlin with focus on the employees. Good contact with higher management of the group, they really try to care... Open-minded and multicultural team with very high level of techical know-how and skills...at least for the moment. Good salary.
Cons – Don't even think about a family, it's impossible. The future doesn't look so nice, quite a lot of projects (75%) in dangerous countries. Very specialised job, hard to think about other career opportunities. Massive and not qualified project management team.
Advice to Senior Management – Saving money on the engineers, the last group within Siemens who makes profit is a bad idea. Facing with a completely amateur project management is demotivating and scary. If you lose the experienced engineers, you will lose quality and the chance for technical knowledge transfer to new generation.

Pros – Employee Motivation and Gud Support from Management

Cons – Depends upon the Senior individual we work with
Advice to Senior Management – HR Co-ordination can be improved, proper communication within themselves is missing (Not a Con, but can be improved)

I worked at Siemens AG full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – Long term employment, decent overall benefits package, a lot of opportunity to travel internationally and learn about other cultures through working with non-US colleagues, the company doesn't generally make knee-jerk decisions.
Cons – It helps A LOT to be German...if you are in a group where hard decisions need to be made, German employees (due to their employment laws) will get preferential treatment. Salary (not other benefits) tends to be slightly lower than what you can get at a strong US competitor in the same area.

I have been working at Siemens AG full-time
Pros – Best type of work, "saving lives"
Cons – not a new kid on the block kind of company like Google or LinkedIn. More traditional and slower.
Advice to Senior Management – Less red tape, more bold.

I worked at Siemens AG as an intern for less than a year
Pros – Blue- chip company in dynamic environment. Good package including all expenses covered (i.e. flat, flight and car). Exposure to C-level meetings.
Cons – As the intern was at its large Middle East HQ, it was sometimes difficult to get much advice and feedback from very busy managers
