I have been working at RehabCare full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

The therapists are great to work with. Flexible . PTO. 30 hours a week is fulltime and you can get the benefits.

    Cons

I am having to drive an hour from just to get to work because contract was lost that was near my home.
When I asked about going down to 4 days a wk which is 32 hours (fulltime is 30) I was told no by area director, when the Program Director was ok with it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be willing to share information with staff that may be effected by the decisions that is being made, before you put them into a building and expect to know what is going on the minute you walk in

I have been working at RehabCare part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Rehab care has a very flexible work schedule I could start as early as I wanted and take a lunch for as long as I wanted as long as I provided treatment for my entire case load that day.

    Cons

Caseload can change from week to week. Some weeks were high and. Some were low. I feel like I have lost some of my skills bc I have been seeing a lot of the same diagnoses and providing similar treatments to the patients.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Upper manage wasn't involved much during my time with rehab care. I would like to see more involvement

    Pros

Great Opportunities for new grads or someone just getting into the rehab field

I worked at RehabCare full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

I enjoyed the relatively non-invasive management style in the corporate office. There was expectation of getting tasks completed on time but no one sitting on your back to do them.

    Cons

While having freedom was good, lack of communication and project structure left me unprepared for my next role in a company that was much faster-paced.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Adopt and implement agile or waterfall project management structures.

    Cons

No scope for growth, Can be pushy to increase MedB case load.

I have been working at RehabCare full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

They are more then competitive. Good people who are realistic

    Cons

Recent health insurance decreases. Itouch POC is horrible. I wish they would scrap their computer system. To much paperwork with a bad try at paperless

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The business is realistic. People need to realize the atmosphere. People complain about the company but they are above average. The other companies I've worked for ate not as good as rehabcare. Productivity is realistic and anyone who says otherwise is mot attuned to the industry. They want to see people and not even earn their salary. The company, besides the paperwork, is good. Beware of Reliant rehab
