    Pros

    Amazing pay, well above industry
Extensive training prior to starting (paid)
Internal promotion allowed after 6 months in current position

    Cons

Supposed to be known for cross training and internal promotion. However there is a extreme lack of cross training even when it is part of their yearly goals and even when you beg for it. You pretty much need to go above your manager and talk to their boss to get anything rolling.

    Advice to Management

    Follow through on your commitments

    Pros

Excellent management. Works with the team, rather than solely delegating. Great pay for the position. Great customers.

    Cons

No career progression or opportunity. A good place for students to work while schooling.

    Advice to Management

Stop being too nice to employees that are clearly taking it for granted.

  3. Fun, great for outgoing personalities. Good internship experience.

    Pros

Easy-going guests and colleagues, and occasional free food and company events.

    Cons

Theft within the employees, staff can be untrustworthy (housekeeping, maintenance or young front desk). They blatantly take your lunch items or steal from wallet if not kept securely in lockers.

    Advice to Management

Pay your employees what they are worth.

-You get the sense that the company cares for you
-Sales incentives and bonuses based on productivity

-Lots of vacation time, sick time (Unpaid AND paid sick time after 90 day probation)

    Cons

    -Fast paced call centre environment
    -Can get really stressful
-Customers can get angry at you for seemingly anything and everything (Though the company doesn't tolerate abuse from the customer, so that was a plus)

    Pros

great benefits but most of all the staff is great to work with and of course it is a hospitality environment therefore you end up creating a very home away from home type environment with alot of the associates you work with. Marriott aswell offers great discounts on rooms and on food and beverage. They even offer free rooms at a certain point of time during the year and they also offer special rates for your friends and family. THe beds are very comfortable. The customer service is amazing.

    Cons

very big on corporate culture, senior management seem a little intimidating

    Advice to Management

maybe to be more honest and trusting of associates and spending more time with lower management and associates to get a better understanding of their qualities and strenghts.

    Pros

Amazing perks: discount rooms, you can stay at any marriott anywhere in the world for almost nothing. Great benefits, employees are always cheerful. Chain of command, and HR is very serious. Any problem whatsoever that you take up to HR will be handled promptly.

    Cons

Working at the front desk, the guests treat you horrible.

No holidays, sometimes very long hour days.
