    Cons

    Not noticed easily

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I worked at MTV Networks as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

The company culture is amazing if you are put in the right area. Unless you are high level, dress code is very casual. As an intern, MTV really tries to immerse the student and gives them projects. Interns are supposed to help the company, not just get coffee. This makes for an awesome experience working in Times Square. The company also has different events that network interns and current employees.

    Cons

No pay, they only give credit. This was hard for me because I had to commute everyday and I lost a lot of money on transportation.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Teach interns the politics of the system and make sure they receive all of the e-mails about intern events.

    Pros

Experience and cool company. Every day can be different. Only those who are persistent will thrive.

    Cons

Dead-ends. Long hours at times. There's not a lot of cons at working at such a prestige company.

I worked at MTV Networks as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

It's Viacom. You get to see really cool things happening almost all the time, like live awards shows throughout the building. Paid. Cafeteria food is really good. Everyone is really friendly and the culture is really laid-back.

    Cons

Can't think of many, really. The commute is a little annoying if you're not already in the city. Sometimes there just wasn't enough work for me to do.

    Pros

Felt like I was an operable part of my department, never a dull day. Respected and thanked for every effort.

Literally none. Amazing learning opportunity with the right department and a great chance to glean the inner workings of such a commendable network.

I worked at MTV Networks as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

There are many pros to interning with MTV Networks. Not only does it look great on a resume (who hasn't heard of MTV?), but it's also a great place to be if you're looking to gain meaningful real world experience. I was never asked to get anyone's coffee and only a few times was I asked to make copies.

    Cons

The only real con I can think of is that it's in the middle of time square. Some may perceive this as a pro, but if you don't want to bump elbows with tons of tourists on your commute, then I would say it's a bit of a downside.

    Pros

Working in pre-production, production, and post. Cool opportunities for going on shoots.

    Cons

A bunch of downtime during the internship, but that's expected at an internship. They also inform you of this at intern orientation.
