I worked at Google as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

I found the company has a very open, positive culture. Everything is better with primary colors. The longer I spent there, the more assured I felt that Google was a force for good. It's really easy to drink the Kool-Aid.

    Cons

The work you're assigned to might not be as interesting as you hoped, given that, it is, after all, Google.

I worked at Google as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

Awesome experience, learn so much, surrounded by the smartest people. They provide so much food and amenities, did I mention food? Everyone is treated very well and every day is a lot of fun. Do cool things that matter is a great slogan for any company, but especially for Google because they do so many cool things that matter such as self driving cars and Google Now.

    Cons

It's become a really big company. It has lost its "startup" vibe if that is something you really care about. there is always a lot of work to be done and it can be overwhelming

I worked at Google as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

Good benefits. They have smart people there. If the work done really makes sense, it gets launched fairly quickly. Not too much pressure, I feel people there have good balance between work and family. The way things work out - large code base, automatic MR jobs, code reviews... are Google style, and they are awesome

    Cons

I hear that the food is getting worse (mainly due to the size increase). You want to really stand out for a promotion - but they have many great people there, so this can be tricky.

    Pros

Friendly and helpful people around you.
More than 20 cafes are available.
Convenient transportation (Free shuttle and GBike)
    High salary of course

    Cons

    Campus is too big.
    Some projects are trivial.
I cannot think of any more since Intern program is sooo fancy.

I worked at Google as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

Google Switzerland offers a spectacular program for interns--it has great people and a stellar atmosphere/culture, with all those promised perks that just make it better. It has great food, intern events, building themes and game rooms and music rooms, etc. Interns don't feel excluded from the normal Google operations, which makes the intern feel pretty much on par with some of the full-timers. At Zürich, you still get a start-uppy smaller company feel, except you always know that it's still linked to the HQ in Mountain View, so it doesn't feel like you're out of the loop, either. There are major teams with very Interesting projects in this office as well. Lastly, Zürich is probably the best office for any intern available, due to the high ratio of interns to full timers, and the super great diversity that the office brings in, being in the center of Europe. There are people of 70+ nationalities in this office, and it's an eye-opener and definitely not short of amazing.

    Cons

It takes time to catch up to speed as a short-term intern. Sometimes you feel a little shy to speak up, especially if it's your first internship like it was for me. The company itself sometimes seems a little too lax in culture, promoting some lazy days. The "Google Fifteen" is also very possible, since there is free food for three meals on weekdays, though this is obviously a perk too. Also, you get the feeling that there is not too much advancement available for those who want to make it big, so for a full-time ladder-climbing job, Google is probably not the company!

    Pros

Smart people. Good engineering practices. Free food onsite three times a day is an essential convenience factor. Lots of opportunities for travel. Interesting projects. Compensation and benefits very generous. Lots of cool perks, fun offsites etc.

    Cons

Capricious high-level management direction, some projects don't make sense. Working across many time zones in distributed offices is challenging at times.
