Current Employee – been working at Google as an intern for less than a year
Pros – You work with the smartest engineers in the world. You solve very difficult problems. You eat delicious food.
Cons – You eat too much delicious food. On a more serious note, it may be a bit difficult to separate work from life because of how closely Google seems to integrate its people. You'll have to work very hard to have a life outside of your code.
Advice to Senior Management – The recruitment process sometimes seems a little messy.

Current Employee – been working at Google as an intern for less than a year
Pros – Facilities, people, tasks, it all makes you feel special and willing to work there. You can feel the responsibility and create legacy.
Cons – sometimes it's a lot of work, sometimes food is worse at the canteen. It is really hard to find something which works wrong there
Advice to Senior Management – more exposure to employees of lowest levels
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

Former Employee – worked at Google as an intern for less than a year
Pros – Lots of activities, and plenty of time for training courses. Personal calls, printing etc. allowed; even let me borrow an Ethernet cable when I arrived without one. "Tech Talks" that offer a chance to ask Larry and/or Sergey questions.
Cons – I was a Java programmer not seated near project teammates or other Java programmers, and was on a floor with no cubicle walls. Relied on headphones for noise control whenever I needed to think deeply (which, as an undergrad intern, was more often than for full-time engineers).
Advice to Senior Management – More emphasis on placing teammates together. More support needed in implementing OSS authentication clients -- would eliminate the need for an F/T engineer on many small internal apps. Employees with Asperger's/ADHD need walled cubicles to control distractions.
