    Center Manager

Center Manager (Former Employee) Los Angeles, CA (US)

Prosgood corporate environment, room for growth and development. I was promoted from a part time customer service rep to store manager in a matter of two years

ConsI was there during the transition from Kinko's to Fedex Office. There were lots of negative changes. The company went from being a smallish company to a huge machine.

Advice to Senior ManagementBring back the small company culture, where store managers are free to run the store based on their customer's needs,

    Great place to work!

Business Center Manager (Former Employee) Naples, FL (US)

ProsFedEx as whole is a very well run company.

ConsLike many large corporations it is hard for really high performers to earn greater compensation. Yes, you will make more, but not in line with your talents. Promotion is the best way to earn more money, but as the company is not expanding greatly this can mean a long wait for more money.

Advice to Senior ManagementMore dynamic compensation structure. Bonus structure that is based on things that are controllable by the manager.

    FedEx

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsBetter pay than most places for an hourly job. It feels more professional than a retail store. This location is closed sundays

ConsIt's retail, customers can often be annoying.

ProsEveryone is very people help people oriented. Anyone and everyone is willing to help if you ask for anything.

ConsMost of the company contains people of the spouse and kids lifestyle. Pay is at or below average but work is not too demanding.

    Very good.

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsMedical benefits, good leader ship, management has an open door policy to solve any problems. After being unemployed for a long time, FedEx hired and trained me to do my job well.

ConsHard work in carrying heavy packages. In all my time working with FedEx I have only experience one supervisor who was a poor manager who had a eye for the female workers. And he didn't last long.

Advice to Senior ManagementKeep up the good work, but do some improvements in clearing up the place.

    Assistant Manager

Assistant Mrg (Current Employee) Saint Paul, MN (US)

ProsStrong company, lots of training. There is a good structure and many resources for employees. There are opportunities to move up if you want to follow the path of store management,

ConsIt is always busy. There are always balls to keep in the air. The money is better than most places but still so so for the amount of work that you do. Benefits are good through.

Advice to Senior ManagementHire more people, increase the hourly pay so that better people can be hired. Store trying to be everything to every customer

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company
