    Pros

Good training but you work with some people that are more interested in appearance than substance. Very good resume builder and you get lots of calls from recruiters.

    Cons

Long hours and mundane tasks and long commutes. The learning curve is not that steep unless you choose to go out of your way to get on teams with good managers.

    Pros

Job security, good reputation in the accounting field, smart people in your age group and Company perks such as getting VIP access to sporting events if you are on right teams.

    Cons

Long hours, no predictability with your schedule, no work-life balance, and boring

    Advice to Management

Hire more people and stop working people to death until they quit. More people suffer because their team members quit!

    Pros

Different clients and industries keep things interesting, depending on your team it can be fun and you'll make some good friends, 3 weeks vacation which is more than most places plus the option to buy more vacation (but remember it'll cost you)

    Cons

Of course, no work life balance, blame game is everywhere all the time, unrealistic expectations and very little help as you progress in the firm. Management does not care to hear anything negative though like most corporate cultures they'll say they do. Very little support from upper management so hard to feel like a team.

    Advice to Management

Other than the obvious "hire more people", stop having such a chip on your shoulders to think that you don't have to get your hands dirty in the detail and help out with the actual onsite audit work. It is supposed to be a team after all. Just because it's the way it was done when you were a senior doesn't mean it was done right or needs to stay that way.

    Pros

Good benefits. Nice coworkers. Great place to list on your resume.

    Cons

It only takes one bad leader to destroy a group. People sit around and are afraid to leave at night because the group leader is a workaholic. No respect for work life balance. People are rewarded only for long hours and not for results. Those that don't adopt this way of working are labled poor performers.

    Advice to Management

Relax and quit working people to death. People do have lives outside of work. Reward efficiency by letting people leave when their work is done. Lead by example.

    Pros

Has a good reputation and will look on good on your resume. Your experience depends on the projects you get put on, so everyone has a different experience in the firm.

    Cons

There is a lot of office politics that you can't avoid even if you try. These politics cause major biases against you even if you haven't worked on a project for someone, they might already have a negative opinion of you.

    Advice to Management

Management is not fair in reviews as they give good reviews to people they like based on "cliques" you're in.

    Pros

It's a good learning experience for young professionals. It's a give and take, you get the experience, but you will get worked. You will be exposed to really smart individuals and you also get to learn about the business.

    Cons

one major downside is being overworked and underpaid, and work/life balance is not great.

    Advice to Management

Promotions should be based on performance. If you are good at what you do, you should be awarded.
