Summer Intern (Inhouse Consulting)

Summer Intern (Former Employee)
Frankfurt am Main (Germany)

I worked at Deutsche Bank as an intern for less than a year

ProsAwesome people, good salary, steep learning curve, good projects, good standing in the overall organisation, benefits and perks range from great canteen over very competitive salary compared to external Consultancies

ConsStrategy division has an even better image, projects were often solely focused on Management (can be regarded as a Cons since it promotes project homogeneity)

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend

Compared to local alternatives DB Moscow Dev center is an oasis for IT specialists

Head of IT Development Unit (Former Employee)
Moscow (Russia)

I worked at Deutsche Bank full-time for more than 8 years

Pros- international exposure and friendly atmosphere
- mobility opportunities - can stay with the company but change profile
- no much bureaucracy (for those who saw real bureaucracy)
- compensation package and insurance
- real business

Cons- attempts to build service based models by the central IT organization has seeded non-delivery roles for "talkers" and politicians

Advice to Senior ManagementBe aware: people get spoiled by too much good. So just raising the bar of what the organization gives to employees would not retain your best people

Winter Internship

Winter Internship (Former Employee)
Seoul (South Korea)

I worked at Deutsche Bank as an intern for less than a year

ProsWell organized program. You can experience all department even if you work for a certain team.

ConsToo short period.
Since it was not a official summer/winter analyst/associate, the conversion to full-time opportunity was almost zero.

Positive experience with great colleagues and management

Vice President (Current Employee)
New York, NY (US)

I have been working at Deutsche Bank full-time for more than 5 years

ProsDB has great benefits all around. The Global Markets desk generally have a strong work hard, play hard mentality. Opportunity for fast career advancement.

ConsHad some negative experiences with direct managers who were irrational or unfair and would like to see a better mentoring program for young performers.
