    Pros

    I had a great boss who knew what she was going and didnt micromanage. The peers were good, and I was able to work from home so had a lot of flexibility

    Cons

    Senior Management had no idea what they were doing. The company sold its customers to a competitor and sold out all of its employees

    No training given very limited , Mangement are not professional enough, they have no tact and have no people skills. Seems like people are hired many times for the same position (Not a good sign) .

    Pros

    benefits: RRSP, insurance, 3 weeks vacations, 5 sick days, most holidays off

    Cons

    everybody works next to each other without interacting, the atmosphere is sucking the life out of good people. Poor management. no growing opportunity, your boss won't let you leave internally until you have trained your replacement. job has nothing to do with the job I applied on and was explain during the hiring process. My manager told me they hire nurse only to flash you title to client saying they have nurse on staff but the job is basically being a admin, reimbursement agent in a call center.No critical thinking or clinical judgement needed. There is a lot of non sense to please client's needs. if you are looking for a job not challenging and rest for your brain this is it.

    Evaluate your managers, some of them are really bad leaders, cutting corners, micromanaging on trivial issues (like having a clean inbox) and not leading when needed.

    Pros

    Fair wages, large organization with many business units, good paid time-off policy, employer RRSP contributions.

    Cons

    If you are looking to learn new skills and develop your career, this is not the place to do it. Untrained management is biased and does not offer equal opportunities to all qualified candidates. Company culture is motivated by negative reinforcement, and "speak-up" policy is a joke.

    Pros

    Memories of the good old days. It was once fun to work here and to come in to work each day.

    Cons

    It was once fun to come to work. The environment was of teamwork and collaboration. Since the new president was installed you come in just to impress him. You have to laugh at his jokes and pretend that the endless stories of his business ventures abroad are interesting. Worse is that he has stripped us of all that was worth while. Just horrible leadership. He doesn't inspire anyone. People just put up with the horrible culture he has created long enough to find a way out. Compensation is horrible because he has turned to making cuts so that his numbers look good. He stifles innovation at every turn. Which is rather childish and insecure so people rarely feel worthy of contributing.

    We desperately need mature level headed leadership in this company. We need professionals with tangible industry experience leading the Specialty Group.

    Great co-workers, ok work hours

    Cons

    Hired for call center and made the job sound like it would be a great fit for me. Training was horrible, not enough training and constantly micro-managed. Treated like a child and constantly reprimanded. Company let all former customer care go to save money and should have kept other call centers. Customers highly irate and mad about change.

    Pros

    Work place is nice. They have great soft drinks and hot beverages also.

    Cons

    People are nice front of your face. You will earn rewards for the work you do, but when they don't need you they will say you have poor work performance your quality was bad. Make so many excuses. It would not be right to show them good performance certificate they given to you to prove them wrong. They like people with poor quality with high production.

    I really hope management think twice before making such decisions. Its all about your company's reputation. After all its your company.

    Pros

    Pay is almost on par with industry standards. Benefits are average.

    Cons

    Elitist Management structure. They have no clue, want no clue, anyone beneath Director level is considered peon level an unworthy to speak to or deal with. Management has no authority. Directors are what most companies consider managers. Managers more like Leads. Sycophants are the ones promoted, not those who make the company work. Career opportunities are not abundant in the Chicago area. They promote managers with NO experience in management at all. Buffalo Grove is filled to the brim with inexperience management and elitist upper management. Treat professionals like kindergarten children.

    No vision for future product, competition is wiping the floors with us due to disassociated management and marketing.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Become more human. interact. Stop by and actually SEE what it takes to run a company instead of listening to the greenies you hired to manage professionals. Stop locking yourself in offices and actually walk around and speak with people.

    Serves as great professional experience.

    Cons

    Fast paced, focus is not you but the patients. This is regardless to weather conditions also. There is also a lack of consideration of employees being with their family during the holidays.

    Be more organized and considerate of the individuals that are constantly taking care of the patients and what they need.
