Prosit is a good place to start or stay I believe

ConsSince I've been volunteering there I can not really judge them base on payment or compensation but the company seems really liable and reasonable to start with

ProsAlthough at times our job is challenging it comes with so many rewards. We have the unique priviledge of seeing our mission in the faces of researches, survivors and advocates on a daily basis.

ConsWe are working daily to eradicate cancer and unfortunately not quick enough and we meet people and volunteers who have lost their battle to cancer. They give us the strength to keep fighting for them but it is definitely a loss and a challenge.

Advice to Senior ManagementWalk before running, we are asked to complete tasks and assignments and often have them revised and changed creating redundancies and more work, I think at times if we just take a step back before implementing a project we wouldn't have to ammend them.

ProsI have absolutely loved working for ACS over the last 6+ years. They promote work-life balance, are extremely flexible and promote from within. I was promoted three times within four years and always feel valued and appreciated. Not to mention the amazing benefits and time off!!

ConsLike any job there are challenges, typically from working with different people with different communication/management styles.

Advice to Senior ManagementContinue to promote from within and recognize those who work extremely hard.

ProsI worked in the Special Events Department putting on large scale fundraising events in the Los Angeles area. I loved my work, the people were amazing and supportive, and my job provided me the opportunity to interface with many types of people. I was happy to go to work every day.

ConsI had a contract job and there was no full time position when it was over. I had really hoped I would have been able to continue working there.
