I applied online. The process took a weekinterviewed at State Street in September 2014.

    Interview Details

Applied online and heard back in about 3 days to set up the interview. The process felt very robotic, two managers each with the same S.S form with questions. Never deviated from their prepared questions even after they realized I had already answered some.

Very quick, simple, and easy process. Applied, interviewed, and was hired within three days. They usually have large hiring rushes in May/June. Easy interview questions with people I never saw again.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took a dayinterviewed at State Street.

    Interview Details

They asked what interested me about the job and why I wanted the job. The questions were pretty standard and there weren't any questions that I would say caught me off guard. The interview last for about twenty minutes. Once the interview was completed, I got a call a few days later with an offer.

I applied online. The process took 3+ weeksinterviewed at State Street.

    Interview Details

Took about a month to finally set up an interview, had to interview with 3 individuals. First person I was suppose to meet with had something else to do so I met with the second interviewer first. Took 1 hour to basically waste time until the person that was suppose to interview me third showed up. It was all a little disorganized, and stressed me out a little bit.

Fund Accountant – Associate I Interview

    Application Details

I applied online – interviewed at State Street in April 2014.

    Interview Details

I applied through the company website and six days later I get a call and there and then I have a phone interview, which was very basic as it included questions about my work experience and qualifications, but I was asked about the State Street and what they do, so be prepared for this, but I personally wasn't expected to know too much as I had no notice of the interview therefore no time to prepare, but overall call lasted only 30 minutes and interviewer that conducted the interview told me all about the interview process, i.e. what will happen in round 2 and 3 of the interview stages.
Later that day, I received an email alerting me that I was scheduled for second round interview the next day and the email also included a document detailing the job description, this interview was broken into 3 sections, (1) Work experience and Education (2) Technical Questions i.e. basic financial concepts (3) Behavioural Questions. You will be asked what you know about State Street again and it is important to know what they do as it shows you are interested in working for them. Once all the questions are asked you will be given the opportunity to voice as queries or questions, this call lasted one hour. I haven't heard anything back yet about the 3rd stage but I was told I would have to wait about 3 weeks.

    Interview Questions
    • Know your basic financial concepts, this is important, such as Net Asset Value, Funds, Derivatives, Bonds. Also when explaining the concepts use examples of each. Other questions included: What would you do if you were on a project and there was somebody that was being difficult? How do you ensure that you will complete your project before the deadline   Answer Question

I applied online. The process took a weekinterviewed at State Street in April 2014.

    Interview Details

2 Phone interviews. First interview was very relaxed with general questions about CV, knowledge of State Street, expected salary, holiday plans and location preferred. The call finished with the lady telling me that I had got to the next round which would be a more formal interview and gave me general guidelines on expected questions. Second interview was much more formal and to the point. Asked questions about how i dealt with mistakes at work and dealing with a difficult colleague. Interviewee said I would hear back either way within one week but as of yet nothing. Found the interviewee very abrupt.

Initial offer was very straight forward with standard starting salary with little room to negotiate. the salary was a bit lower than expected but i was reassured that there would be over-time and bonus opportunities however this did not turn out to be accurate in my group. over-time opportunities are definitely available in some groups but not all.

First interview is over the phone with human resources. The first interview last about 30 minutes and consisted mostly of behavioral questions. Most of the questions were stated as, "can you think of a time when..." The human resources interviewer was very nice and professional. If this interview goes well, candidates are invited on site for a second interview with two officers. The second interview consisted of more behavioral questions with the addition of questions about State Street Corp.
