I applied through a recruiter and interviewed at Sikorsky.

Interview Details Got a call from an outside recruiter and set up an in-person interview with the hiring manager, who was distracted the whole time and didn't really ask me about anything except what was on my resume. I was supposed to meet with a second person but they were unavailable. I got a call back a few days later asking me to come back for a second interview with a senior manager. Again, there weren't any questions beyond what was on my resume - the interviewer did 90% of the talking. I got a call from the hiring manager about 3-5 days later making me an offer.

Interview Question – Really, there wasn't any. The interviewers did not really ask me about anything that wasn't on my resume.   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – I had to negotiate directly with the hiring manager. I told them the salary I wanted. They wouldn't give me an answer then, but I was told the actual offer would be on my offer letter that I would receive in a few days. When I received the letter, it offered me what I asked for.

Industrial Relations Representative Interview

Industrial Relations Representative
Stratford, CT (US)

I applied through college or university - interviewed at Sikorsky in March 2011.

Interview Details interview entails meeting with multiple executives. As the position involves a lot of conversations with the staff and the union, they really try to get to know you. They are looking for smart but down to earth individuals, who can learn their methods and grow within the company for years to come. They are looking for a long term investment.

Interview Question – What would you do if an employee came to you because his check was not correct and he was upset?   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – Very laid back and via email. I only pushed for a later starting date, not pay.

I applied through another source and the process took 8 months - interviewed at Sikorsky in August 2010.

Interview Details All internet job posts go to the Managers directly not HR. If you are a contractor you may be hired but they have a two year rule on time and material...their are always exceptions to the rule if you are a relative there are a lot of exceptions....or a friend of a friend......

Interview Question – Do you have a relative that works here?   View Answer

Negotiation Details – There was none, it was far below expectations but I needed the job.
