    Application

I applied online. The process took 5 daysinterviewed at Sam's Club (Akron, OH (US)) in September 2012.

    Interview

The first interview will be conducted by a hourly supervisor. They typically ask five questions pertaining to the competencies defined in the job description. If you recieve a high enough rating on your answers you will be interviewed by a salaried member of management. After that step you will have a background check and drug screen.

    Interview Questions

    • The questions are simple but they are five part situational questions.   Answer Question

    Negotiation

This is what we will pay you, take it or leave it.

    Interview

The hiring process is a joke.

If you can stroke the ego of the supervisor/manager in charge of your hiring you are in.

I have associates that do not know how to do basic math working for me.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeksinterviewed at Sam's Club (State College, PA (US)) in October 2011.

    Interview

They are fairly quick to give you a call back. You are called in for a primary interview and usually sat in the cafe or an office (if available). The questions are pretty general, similar to most other interviewing processes. If you seem to be a good candidate they will either schedule a secondary interview or conduct it immediately following your primary interview with a manager. You will have to have a drug test done which usually takes about a week to get back. And after that you will begin your training process.

    Interview Questions

    • Not a completely unexpected question, but sometimes difficult to answer if you don't have supervisory experience: "Tell me about a situation that you had a problem completing your work due to a distraction and how you managed the situation and finished your work."   Answer Question

    Negotiation

In my experience I didn't have to negotiate. They paid me well over minimum wage (the company bases your pay on experience).
