I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeksinterviewed at AppFolio (Santa Barbara, CA (US)) in April 2015.

    Interview

Applied through a college job fair. Recruiter contacted me about a week later and arranged a phone interview with the team that was hiring. I then went to an on site technical interview in Santa Barbara. It was a half day, and there were three different interviews. One behavioral/resume related. The other two technical.

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took a weekinterviewed at AppFolio (Dallas, TX (US)) in April 2015.

    Interview

First, a preliminary call interview with appfolio's recruiting department at which time they will discuss your resume. Nothing out of the ordinary here, they just want a little more information about your experience. Next, you are scheduled with an online interview via meetingstogo which you must download prior. The SDR position I applied for was no longer available but they were interested in filling a support engineer position. The interviewer went over the job description and was checking I'd I was still interested and if it was a good fit for me.

    Interview

    Process took about 2 weeks.

Received a call from a recruiter about a week later asking to set up a screening about my resume and interests.

Set up a date for a technical interview which was fairly straightforward about sorting arrays and software design patterns.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeksinterviewed at AppFolio (Richardson, TX (US)) in January 2015.

    Interview

I was contacted by the internal recruiter based in their Richardson, TX office and spoke for around 20 minutes regarding my background, skills, comp ratio, etc. At the end of the call I was invited to come into their office the following week and interview with the hiring VP.

My conversation with the hiring manager went well and I was informed they would contact me the following week with next steps. Next week came and went with no contact. I emailed and never received a response where I had requested feedback.

Judging by the office demographic, if you are over 30 years old, don't bother to apply. Overall environment is small and reminded me of my freshman college days.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeksinterviewed at AppFolio (Dallas, TX (US)) in October 2014.

    Interview

Pathetic process as they build you up to come in - they tell you your history and background are a perfect fit - as you come in your greeted by a sales room and then interviews by 2 managers who seem either brand new to interviewing or just not used to dealing with people (kinda scary that they are the sales managers). The questions are actually decent but interview seems to be somewhat of a joke to them - After the interview if your not hired they will not give you feedback or respond to your request for follow up (think about the customer or PROSPECT who seems soooo interested then suddenly its like they died and you never hear from them again) probably (other than multiview ) the rudest company Ive ever dealt with in my life . - if you are actually a killer at inside sales you may be better off applying somewhere else as it seems that they like to hire low ballers and bottom of the barrell sales reps (I know some of them)... my guess (and I mean GUESS because I cant get a response) the management doesnt like hiring anyone that threatens their job. And YES I am very offended !

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2+ weeksinterviewed at AppFolio in October 2014.

    Interview

Applied online for the Software Engineer Intern position and within approximately a week I had a initial phone screen with a member of the HR team. She was very kind and after that she set me up with a one hour technical phone interview with a senior member of the engineering team. The technical phone interview lasted about 40 minutes and covered questions on my background as well as questions relating to sorting, data management, and object-oriented programming. I was rejected at the end of the technical interview, but the interviewer was very nice about it.

    Interview Questions

    • Related to sorting an array based on given specifications without creating any new data structures.   Answer Question
